All of you who weren't here should have been! The sky really started to boom at about midday with consistent 6 kt thermal to 6000ft . Mike McLachlan is attempting the Rimfire task in ZAJ and has been gone 3 hrs plus at this stage. The clouds are tending to cycle but the "ups" are a lot shorter than the "downs" and all that is required is a little patience at times. New member Simon Schroder had one of those dream introductions to gliding with his first flight in NTT lasting over an hour and we completed a 70km course from Kalbar out to Maroon, back to Aratula and then back to Boonah. Ron McLeay had 2 hrs in VHI and several others exceeded the hour. Beautiful Day , light winds and a top of 24 degrees.
